I have to say that I thought this was the best issue so far that Nic has done. Last issue was good, but I thought this new issue was even better.
I was blown away by how professional the cover looked. Wow!! Too bad this issue won't be eligible for the UFO AWARDS this time around. I hope it's nominated for Best Cover next year.
I'm impressed that Nic has stuck with the bimonthly schedule for T-Frags, and that there have been two issues of it released so far this year. The frequency of TF bodes well for the health of the group as a whole.
Speaking of which, I respectfully disagree with Tim Kelly's idea that T-Frags perhaps should be online only (as the BPP newsletter is). Not everyone posts online... Heck, I get to read more from some UFO members in their printed columns that I do on this very board. And I want to read what my fellow members have to say. Plus, the printed copy of TF can be used to promote the group, by sending copies out to potential members or to anyone who may be interested and buy a copy. It's more of a permanent thing than a webpage is.
I have to agree with a lot of what Jim Pack said in his column, although I did abstain from voting in the webcomics debate (since I'm a brand-new member and all, and didn't feel it was right for me to jump in on an issue about which I know little). I personally have no interest in creating a webzine, but am interested in creating fanzines -- similar ideas, but not the same thing in my opinion.
Anyway, those are some of my thoughts on the latest T-Frags. I want to congratulate Nic on a mighty impressive issue! Well done!!
