A big YES vote for Rob. I enjoyed NOZ a lot -- quirky, kind of dark, but leavened with a certain skewed sense of humor. Totally unlike anything else I've seen lately, and that's always a treat.

Thanks, JK... It will be interesting for me to see what I come up with for a NOZ #2... and for other titles that don't fit the quirky/artsy persona that I see NOZ as being.
The first half of NOZ #1 was more the artsy/lit mag side (in fact, one of the pieces was done for my high school lit mag in 1988...won 2nd prize in the art category), while the second half reflected more my love of old-time comics.
"Tales of Time & Space" was originally conceived as a "Tale of the Watcher," my own attempt at one of those back-up tales that had appeared in TALES OF SUSPENSE circa 1963.
In my upcoming comics, I may try to revisit a lot of the old creations from my childhood (there are a LOT of them, and some with promise I think), or just try and come up with something all-new. Or a mix of both.
Anyway, thanks again!
By the way, in case any UFO member reading this DIDN'T receive a copy of NOZ #1 in the mail from me recently, let me know! I wasn't 100% sure of what the UFO membership roster was currently. How many members are there?

Thank you all!! Yesterday I sent Nic some items about the background of NOZ for the upcoming T-Frags, as a kind of way of introducing myself to the group.

Hi Jim,
Thank you, and thanks also for the copy of Comet Tales #20, which I enjoyed very much. I wrote a few sentences about it in my column in the upcoming T-Frags (#205).
Sorry that you didn't care for NOZ #1, but hopefully #2 will be better. I've learned a little bit more about making a zine in the year-and-a-half since #1 was printed up. I will be sending you a copy of the new issue of Ditkomania (which comes out in 2 weeks) which perhaps may be enjoyed more!
